Design is a transversal and democratic tool for the collaboration of diverse teams and people. Design is not only function, but also poses questions to answers, many times unanswerable ones, but that allow reflection and improvement.
Experiment and speculate on better futures
We promoted experimentation and speculative design sessions using waste and rubbish, collected on the beach by Ambiens and Bioagradables associations, which allowed cooperation between different disciplines in workshops where they discussed ecology, sustainability, design and environmental innovation.
Recycling-flecting machines
Recycling-flecting machines are the result of this collaboration. It could have been a report, some data collected to analyze on paper, but the motivation to move from a theoretical to a hands-on approach, from the non-physical to the physical and manual, took us further.
These machines are the result of the research, reflection and cooperation work of a diverse team, where the main drivers were people with intellectual disabilities from the C.O. El Renàixer. As usual, an enthusiastic and emotional group that jumps into the game without hesitation and is rarely afraid of new and risky adventures.
